Ladies and gentlemen, today we celebrate a love that did not come easily… but came exactly when it was meant to.



Charles first noticed Kentrell at work. From the start, he knew there was something different about her.

They weathered Hurricane Harvey, when Charles got “stuck” at Kentrell’s house and never truly left. They endured the Houston freeze, bundling up with blankets and laughter. They leaned on each other through the uncertainty of Covid.



And every storm only proved what the two of them already knew: real love endures all things.



But this story is not only about Charles and Kentrell, it’s about family. Charles didn’t just fall in love with Kentrell; he became a father figure to her children, Kaylee and Kaden, when they were just 4 and 8. And Kentrell’s heart opened wide to love Charles’ daughters, Kaycee and Kierra. Together, they’ve built not just a blended family, but a whole one. A family made complete by love, laughter, and faith.



Then came June 20, 2024, Kentrell’s birthday. She thought it was just another day. But Charles had been waiting for this moment.

Charles: “I knew it had to be that day. I wanted her birthday to carry the memory of a lifetime.”

And when he asked the question, Kentrell answered without hesitation:

“It was the easiest yes of my life.”
